New Cycle Route discovered on Channel Hopper

Cyclists on the Veloroute du Lin

Eight Phoenix-CTC members hopped across the Channel to Dieppe last Friday for three days of cycling over the May Day Bank Holiday weekend. This was our first event this year and proved very enjoyable. About 50 miles were cycled each day, the destinations being Mers-les-Bains on Saturday, St-Valery-en-Caux on Sunday and Neufchatel-en-Bray on Monday.

We cycled along an excellent new cycle route, the Veloroute de Lin, which runs for about 17 miles between Pourville-sur-Mer, just west of Dieppe, to Saint-Pierre-le-Viger. It will eventually be extended to Fecamp.

There will be a write-up of this event in the Summer issue of Phoenix Cyclist which will be emailed to members in mid-June.

A superb cycle path Clive. Thank you for spotting this and incorporating it into a stunning circular route from Dieppe to Saint-Valery-en-Caux I look forward to the extensions to this one!
